John Gruber's Excellent Digg Blocker

daringfireball

Apple Closing .Mac HomePage

mobileme
Apple has decided to close the quite lame ‘HomePage’ service from their now changed .Mac service. This makes a lot of sense since you can now publish with iWeb right to me.com service.

From Apple’s Email

Instead of HomePage, we recommend the other sharing features of your MobileMe membership. With MobileMe Gallery, you can share photos online directly from iPhoto or the web application at www.me.com. And using iWeb on your Mac, you can create custom websites and blogs and publish them to MobileMe.

Apple will keep your current HomePage pages up as long as you want to keep them, you just will not be able to make edits.
